Getting Around St. Petersburg

Airports
Pulkovo-1 and Pulkovo-2 (international) are 18km from the city. From Pulkovo-2, buses 113, 213 (10Rbl) and minibuses K13 and T113 (15Rbl) leave the arrivals terminal for Moskovskaya metro station every 15 minutes. Then take the metro (10Rbl) or a taxi (about 200Rbl) into the city centre. Journey time 45+ minutes. From Pulkovo-1, minibus K39A leaves every 15 minutes for Moskovskaya metro.

Public transport
The efficient Metro has four lines, but few stations in the historic centre. Buy a token (10Rbl) or card for multiple journeys.
Buses and trolleybuses are slow (10Rbl, tickets on board), while marshrutkas (mini buses) dash around, stop at passengers'
request, and cover countless routes. Fares from 13 to 25 Rbl. The Metro and buses operate from 06.00-24.00; marshrutkas 07.00-22.00. It helps if you can decipher Cyrillic when using public transport. Long distance and suburban electrichka trains depart from five major railway stations. A summer hydrofoil service to Petrodvorets leaves from the Hermitage jetty. Waterbuses travel some canals.
